Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using CloudStack Canvas ("Service," "CSC," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

CloudStack Canvas is a browser-based visual tool for designing AWS cloud infrastructure and generating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates, including CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CDK. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier.

3. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current registration information
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access
• Not share your account with others or create accounts by automated means
• Not use another person's account without permission

4. AWS Credentials and Infrastructure

Important: CloudStack Canvas generates IaC templates for your review and deployment. We do not store, access, or use your AWS credentials, AWS account IDs, or any live cloud infrastructure data unless you explicitly provide it for a specific feature.

You acknowledge that:

• Generated templates are provided "as-is" and may require review before production deployment
• You are solely responsible for any AWS resources you deploy using generated templates
• CloudStack Canvas is not liable for AWS charges, misconfigured infrastructure, security vulnerabilities, or data loss arising from use of generated templates
• You should review all generated IaC for security best practices, cost optimization, and compliance before deployment

Due to the nature of cloud services, AWS and other cloud providers may change their services, pricing, and configurations at any time without notice. Any cost or infrastructure estimates provided by CloudStack Canvas are based on periodic data updates and do not reflect real-time pricing. All estimates are approximations only and should not be relied upon as exact or current figures. You are responsible for verifying current AWS pricing before making deployment decisions.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Design infrastructure intended for illegal purposes, unauthorized access, or cyberattacks
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Introduce malicious code, viruses, or similar harmful material
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems without written authorization
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written consent

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to the infrastructure designs, diagrams, and IaC templates you create using the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store and display Your Content solely to provide the Service.

Our IP: CloudStack Canvas, its software, design, and underlying technology remain the exclusive property of CSC and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.

7. Subscription and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the renewal date.

• Refunds are available within 14 days of initial purchase for annual plans
• Monthly plans are non-refundable after the billing cycle begins
• Downgrading your plan may result in loss of access to features and data exceeding free tier limits
• All prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes

8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
• We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• Our total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, upon reasonable notice where possible. You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days before deletion, during which you may export it.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under AAA rules, except either party may seek injunctive relief in court.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with updated Terms, you may terminate your account before the effective date.
