CloudStack Canvas is a service operated by Mid Michigan MFG, LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Service," "CSC," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
CloudStack Canvas is a browser-based visual tool for designing AWS cloud infrastructure and generating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates. The Service currently generates CloudFormation (JSON and YAML); additional formats such as Terraform and AWS CDK are planned. The Service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to:
Important: CloudStack Canvas generates CloudFormation templates for your review and deployment to your own AWS account. We do not store, access, or use your AWS credentials or any live cloud infrastructure data.
Responsibility for Deployment: Generated templates are provided on an "as-is" basis. When you deploy a generated template to your AWS account, you are creating and provisioning real AWS resources that will incur real AWS charges billed to your AWS account. You are solely and entirely responsible for:
CloudStack Canvas makes no warranty regarding generated templates and is not liable for AWS charges, misconfigured infrastructure, security vulnerabilities, compliance violations, data loss, or any other damages arising from your use or deployment of generated templates.
AWS pricing and service offerings change frequently. Any cost or infrastructure estimates provided by CloudStack Canvas are based on periodic data updates and are approximations only. You are responsible for verifying current AWS pricing and feature availability before making deployment decisions.
You agree not to use the Service to:
Your Content: You retain all rights to the infrastructure designs, diagrams, and IaC templates you create using the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store and display Your Content solely to provide the Service.
Our IP: CloudStack Canvas, its software, design, and underlying technology remain the exclusive property of CSC and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or branding.
Paid plans (Pro, Team) are billed monthly via Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable monthly subscription fee. Subscriptions automatically renew on the same date each month unless canceled.
Cancellation and Renewal: You can cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Billing → Manage Subscription. Cancellation is effective at the end of your current billing period — you retain full access to paid features until then. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods after cancellation.
Refunds Policy: All subscription payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods and unused time. Canceling stops future charges but does not refund past ones. Where applicable law grants you a non-waivable right to a refund, that right is honored. For billing questions or disputes, contact support@cloudstackcanvas.com.
Plan Changes: Downgrading from a paid plan to the free tier may result in loss of access to features and data exceeding free tier limits. Prorated charges apply when changing plans mid-cycle via Stripe's billing system.
Taxes: All prices are displayed in USD. Applicable sales tax, VAT, or other taxes are added at checkout based on your location and billing address.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, upon reasonable notice where possible. You may terminate your account at any time via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account.
Upon account deletion: Your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Your account and its data (projects, diagrams, templates, settings, and subscription records) are immediately and permanently deleted. This deletion is irreversible and non-recoverable. We recommend exporting or backing up any data you wish to preserve before requesting account deletion.
Exception: contact form submissions are retained after account deletion (unlinked from your deleted account) to maintain support history, and will be deleted upon request to privacy@cloudstackcanvas.com.
Team plan subscribers who are subject to GDPR, CCPA, or similar data protection regulations may request a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) that outlines our obligations as a data processor. To request a DPA, contact legal@cloudstackcanvas.com with details of your requirements. We will work with you to establish mutually agreeable terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under AAA rules, except either party may seek injunctive relief in court.
We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree with updated Terms, you may terminate your account before the effective date.
